Sikkim

Located in the luminous enclosure of the Eastern Himalayas, the state of Sikkim is a realm sculpted by the Limbu words su (ᤙᤢᤰ) "new" and khyim (ᤂᤡᤶ) "palace".

inspired by a 2025 journey, the Sikkim series bridges personal memory and studious inquiry. The high-altitude landscapes reconnected Konstantin to his time in the Altai Mountains, taking him back to a more studious period, delving into Buddhism and its earliest visual traditions up close. The resulting works translate these historical, aesthetic, and contemplative discoveries onto canvas.
